Short-form video for pet brands

Someone is spending money on behalf of an animal that can't tell them whether it worked. That gap — between the buyer and the user — is where every good angle in this category comes from.

The buyer and the user are different

Pet content that performs is rarely about the product's specification. It's about the owner's uncertainty: am I doing this right, is she actually happy, is this worth it, is the expensive one better. The animal can't confirm any of it, so the buyer is looking for reassurance and evidence in roughly equal measure.

That makes the emotional register unusually important and unusually easy to get wrong. Too cute and it reads as a stock ad; too clinical and it reads as a vet leaflet. The tone is the deliverable here more than in most categories.

Your reviews are the best raw material in DTC

Pet owners write long, specific, emotional reviews — considerably more usable than most categories produce. They name the exact behaviour that changed, the thing they tried before, the moment they noticed. That's script material almost verbatim, and it's why we ask for a full export rather than a link to the top few.

The practical constraint

Real animals are the least directable thing on a set, which is genuinely why a lot of pet content is expensive and slow to produce. Generated footage sidesteps that, and for product-in-context, routine and problem-agitate angles it works well.

What it can't do is show your actual product on someone's actual dog getting an actual result. Health and behavioural claims land in the same place as supplements: we write to what you've cleared, and we don't manufacture a testimonial. If your proof is a real recovery, that needs a real animal and a real owner.

What we need

  • Reviews, exported and unedited. Include the mixed ones.
  • Any claims your vet or compliance advisor has ruled out, especially anything health-adjacent.
  • Species, breed and life-stage targeting — a puppy buyer and a senior-dog buyer are not the same script.
  • Existing footage of real animals with your product, if you have any. We'd rather cut that in than generate around it.
